The YUMIX 4000E chassis is a carrier for all E modules and can be mounted in either NEBS or ETSI compliant racks with corresponding adaptors. It holds up to 8 line-cards with client and line interfaces, two filter cards, one cross-connect card, and one management card. All modules are hot pluggable and accessible from the front. The fiber optic cabling and power cords are also attached at the front of the system. Space saving back to back installation of the Main chassis is possible due to its depth of only 27cm.

The YUMIX 400 is a compact 2.5U height optical networking system that combines the intelligence and flexibility of YUMIX 4000E with a low-cost approach. YUMIX 400 can support up to 8 channels and allows any protocol between 8 Mbps to 2.7 Gbps and 10 GbE transponders.

YUMIX EMCC & EACC | Management Modules

Pandatel’s management card is designed for mounting into YUMIX 4000E chassis. Management cards may be combined for implement- ing cascade connections. They are used for element and network management and allow the user to configure and access various settings for all modules present in a chassis. Furthermore a manage- ment card also runs Pandatel’s powerful network management soft- ware. It manages various hardware and network faults by continu- ously communicating with all modules in a chassis over a dedicated internal bus and with other nodes in the network over the supervisory channel. Network management is done electrically through Fast Eth- ernet ports or optically through either one or two optical supervisory ports or via cross-connect and Line Card.

YUMIX TDM2/2.5G | 2 x Gb Multiplexer Card

TDM2/2.5G modules combine two incoming client signals (FC/FC, FC/GbE, GbE/GbE) into one line channel by means of time division multiplexing. This channel can either be forwarded to the backplane or sent optically to the WDM filter card.

YUMIX TDM8/2.5G | 8 x Gb Multiplexer Card

The optical line card TDM8/2.5G is built on a flexible modular basis supporting SFP modules for various transmission rates in the range of 30 to 270 Mbps. Thus multiple protocols are supported using the one and the same line card. This card uses TDM technology (TDM – Time Division Multiplexing, also called time multiplex) to combine up to 8 independent client data streams and the related protocols, time- delayed, into one single channel with a greater bandwidth (OC-48 framing, 2488 Mbps).

YUMIX XC | Cross Connect (for YUMIX 4000E only)

YUMIX DX/MX | Multiplexer/De-multiplexer

The WDM modules are passive optical devices. They multiplex and de-multiplex the optical signals (wavelengths acc. to ITU-T G.694) of the line interfaces in full duplex. The multiplexing component of these modules merges the channels onto a single fiber. The de-multiplex- ing component receives this signal on the other end of the line and separates the signals back into single ITU-T channels. Different types of filter modules are available.

The housing and rack system offered by Pandatel provides a Content smart modular solution in the range of racks and single/multi- RA-T | Single and Multi Slot Housing for 3U and 6U rack slot housings, suitable for 3U and 6U rack mount cards. This mount cards type of solution offers a wide range of convenient options and RA-U | 19“ Chassis for ten 3U rack mount cards possibilities for the users, due to its unique technical (hard- RA-HD | 19“ Chassis for twenty-four 3U rack mount cards or ware) advantages as well as the high level of flexibility and ten 6U and four 3U rack mount cards adaptability of the system.

Only top quality materials are used for the production of the rack components. This condition has to be fulfilled in order to achieve optimum performance of the transmissions as well as maximum protection of the system against corrosion. For the purpose of achieving compact dimensions and optimum trace depth parameters (which may be a significant advantage in view of space limitations), aluminium has been used as the main material for the production of such systems.

A variety of options are available for modifying the configura- tion of Pandatel’s products within rack systems, or for setting up independent, flexible integrated solutions. In the course of production of racks and accessories, Pandatel focus mainly on the development of modular structures, whose range of expandability and adaptability supports maximum utilization of the existing equipment as well as future modifications and new applications.
