Situation Whitegate Farm Shop has excellent road access and adjoins the A5 between Gailey Island and Weston Park.

From Penkridge and Stafford pick up the A449 south towards Wolverhampton and the M6. Pass Rodbaston Campus on the left and at the main A5 roundabout at Gailey turn right towards Telford. Continue 2 ½ miles towards Weston Park and through Stretton with Whitegate Farm lying ¾ mile under the canal bridge on the right with direct access off the main road.

From Weston-under-Lizard/Weston Park where the A5 and A41 converge take the A5 towards Penkridge and the M6 (Junction 12). Continue for 2 miles passing Ivetsey Bank and ¾ mile from the main Ivetsey Bank crossroads the farm adjoins the A5 on the left.

‘To the Sale’ and ‘Car Park’ signs will be erected on the morning of the sale.

Cheques/Payments-Payment Is Required On Sale Day Intending Purchasers not known to the Auctioneers must produce, prior to bidding, an acceptable Banker’s reference. Under new regulations introduced by the Banks, such references are now only obtainable by the Bank’s customers themselves and have to be obtained by them direct from their Bank and forwarded to us. VAT on Export Goods – Under regulations imposed by HM Customs & Excise, the auctioneers must account in a proper manner for VAT on export goods. Therefore, any customers who have no trading pattern record with the auctioneers must pay all VAT on the purchase price of goods on sale day. On receipt of all relevant export documentation and bills of laden (which must be received in the prescribed time limits), the auctioneers will then refund relevant VAT sums.

This genuine dispersal at Whitegate Farm arises as a result of the closure of Whitegate Farm Ltd after 16 years of trading.

Many locals will know that the Swift family have farmed for two generations at Whitegate and the closure of the shop allows the family to now focus on their arable and cattle enterprises.
