Award for Tony Speight of Goldthorpe Reform Club OBITUARIES

Elaine Pemberton Nelson Carters’ & Motormen’s WMC have to sadly announce the passing of their long serving Treasurer Mrs Elaine Pemberton (writes Michael Woodvine). Elaine retired in November 2016 and passed away peacefully on Tuesday 14th November 2017. She served the Club as Treasurer for almost 20 years and was certainly one of the reasons the Club is still here today to remember the great service she provided to the Club. Hereford’s Richmond Place Club stages wrestling event The Richmond Place Club in Hereford staged a highly successful sporting event in November as Ironfist Wrestling put on an Ancient Greece- themed grappling extravaganza. The evening saw two Championship bouts take place in both men’s and women’s categories and the result was a great night’s entertainment for the sellout crowd. George Brown celebrates 25 years of service to his club

Darts legend to appear at Dinnington Social Club Dinnington Village Social Club in Newcastle-upon-Tyne has announced that it will be staging a darts exhibition featuring legendary player Eric Bristow in 2018. The ‘Crafty Cockney’, who won the World Championship five times, will take part in the event on Sunday, May 6, 2018. As part of the event, 14 people from the audience will get the chance to play against Bristow and he will also take part in a Q&A session.
