GOVERNOR BAKER AND MAYOR WALSH TOUR P.J. KENNEDY SCHOOL

Last Thursday Gov. Charlie Baker and Mayor Martin Walsh toured the P.J. Kennedy School in East Boston. The Governor and Mayor were given a tour of the school followed by a first hand look at the Kennedy's 'My Way Cafe' pilot program. Through a partnership with the Shah Family Foundation, the Kennedy and three other (BPS) in Eastie have been enjoying freshly prepared lunches like Baja fish tacos, BBQ chicken, freshly cooked veggies and salads throughout the school year with the help of renowned Chef Ken Oringer. Both Baker and Walsh sampled the Kennedy School's lunch offerings like chicken and fish tacos, roasted broccoli, rice and all the taco toppings one could ask for.
