Recommendation
That the City Council adopt the seven accompanying Resolutions declaring the results of the City of Los Angeles March 3, 2009, Primary Nominating and Consolidated Elections.
Fiscal Impact Statement
Adopting the Resolutions declaring the results of the City of Los Angeles Primary Nominating and Consolidated Elections will have no impact on the General Fund as the funds necessary to conduct the 2009 municipal elections are already included in the City Clerk's operating budget for Fiscal Year 2008-09.

NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of Los Angeles hereby finds, determines, and declares that the total number of ballots tabulated by the Los Angeles City Clerk for the Los Angeles Community College District election was 309,048; that the certified vote totals received from cities conducting a portion of the Governing Board (Board of Trustees) election have been properly added to the vote totals tabulated by the Los Angeles City Clerk; and that the following persons received a majority of votes cast for all candidates for Member of the Board of Trustees-Seat No.4 for the term ending June 30, 2013 and for Member of the Board of Trustees-Seat No.7 for the term ending June 30, 2011 and are hereby declared to be elected at the Primary Nominating and Consolidated Elections: For Member of the Board of Trustees - Seat No.4 KELLY CANDAELE For Member of the Board of Trustees - Seat No.7 MIGUEL SANTIAGO The City Clerk is hereby directed to issue certificates of election to the above named persons for their respective offices.
