Friday: Gala Grand Prix boxing, 7 p.m. Live from the Uniprix Stadium in Montréal, Quebecer David Lemieux (22-0, 21 KO) will fight Elvin Ayala of the U.S. (20-4-1, 9 KO) for the WBC International middleweight title in the Gala Grand Prix. Lemieux, a rising star on the Quebec boxing scene, will attempt to remain undefeated in the open-air fight with Ayala, the most dangerous opponent he has faced so far. The other six fights on the undercard include Sébastien Demers against Brian Vera. Saturday: UFC 115, 10 p.m. At 10:00 p.m. on Saturday night, two of the biggest names in the history of the UFC will clash live from Vancouver in UFC 115. The legendary Chuck “The Iceman” Liddell, former UFC World Light Heavyweight champion, will battle former World Middleweight Champion Rich “Ace” Franklin. Four other match-ups are also on the card. In an indication of the keen interest in the historic duel, tickets for the event sold out in less than 30 minutes, a record for the UFC.
