O filme “Balupu”, que está a ser rodado durante esta semana em cenários naturais e urbanos daquelas duas regiões, é o primeiro resultado dos contactos realizados pelo Turismo de Portugal com alguns dos principais produtores do cinema indiano na missão empresarial realizada em novembro passado na Índia. Produzido por uma importante produtora cinematográfica indiana, as filmagens em Portugal de dois dos vídeos musicais do filme supõem um investimento privado de 150 mil euros (dos 6,5 milhões de orçamento global) e o efeito direto local de uma semana da permanência de cerca de 40 profissionais indianos – gerando, só na hotelaria, cerca de 200 dormidas.
