Nyheten nådde fans redan i fredags (7/3) när Skrillex lanserade en mystisk app innehållandes en nedräknande klocka och ett alienspel av retroformat. Med start vid midnatt mellan 10/3 och 11/3 släpptes 10 låtar, en var trettioende minut, tills ett helt nytt fullängdsalbum fanns tillgängligt från den sexfaldige Grammy-vinnande artisten som har sålt över 10 miljoner singlar. Det fullständing albumet finns tillgängligt gratis nu via appen samt släpps på samtliga plattformar nästa måndag den 17 mars. Recess (OWSLA/BigBeat/Atlantic) skrevs och spelades in i Los Angeles, Seattle, Seoul, London, Stockholm, San Fransisco och Brooklyn och innehåller samarbeten med Ragga Twins, Chance The Rapper, Diplo, Passion Pit’s vokalist Michael Angelakos samt OWSLA-stjärnskotten Kill The Noise och Alvin Risk för att nämna några.
