OUTDATED EYEGLASSES FOR CENTRAL AMERICA

Dr. Bill Brinker of Kent UCC (Ohio) leads a two-week eye clinic mission to Central American countries each spring. Many are UCC people, but the whole staff is ecumenical.

More than 6,000 people came to the 1992 eye clinic in Matagalpa, Nicaragua. A total of 2,451 people received reading glasses, 123 had surgery, all received a thorough examination, eye drops and educational materials, even if they did not need glasses. Your no-longer-used prescription glasses are needed for this worthwhile annual mission. A container has been provided in the lower level of Lark to receive your donations of glasses you no
