Whereas it is necessary for preventing danger, obstruction or inconvenience to the public in connection with the Kolkata Police SDSL Half Marathon on 07.01.2018, I, Rajeev Kumar, Commissioner of Police, Kolkata, in exercise of powers vested in me under Section 115, 117, 122 and 126 M V Act, 1988 and Section 62, 62(1b) of Calcutta Police Act./ 39, 39(1b) of Calcutta Suburban Police Act read with Rule No. 85, 86, 87, 88 and 93 of Rules for the Regulations of Traffic in Kolkata and its suburbs and under sub-section (1) of Section 4 of the West Bengal Traffic Regulations Act, 1965 (W B Act XV of 1965) read with Govt. of West Bengal Home (Transport) Department Order No. 7605-WT, dated the 20th July, 1965 and Govt. of West Bengal Transport Department Notification No. 3363-WT / 3M- 34/99, dated the 29th April, 1999, do hereby order that all classes of vehicles and all kinds of traffic including pedestrian traffic for the city of Kolkata shall be regulated in the manner prescribed below on the day.

1) Movement of all types of Goods Vehicles shall be restricted / regulated from the following roads within the city of Kolkata from 03.00 hrs to 12.00 hrs or till dispersal of crowd and / or completion of the Races on 07.01.2018.

(i) Vidyasagar Setu (both bound) (ii) C R Avenue (iii) Esplanade Row (East) (iv) R R Avenue (v) Rabindra Sarani (vi) AJC Bose Road (vii) APC Roy Road (viii) Khidderpore Road (ix) Esplanade Ramp (x) AJC Ramp (xi) Khidderpore Ramp (xii) Vivekananda Road (xiii) Ballygunge Circular Road (xiv) Hazra Road (xv) Alipore Road (xvi) Belvedere Road

2) The following roads on the Kolkata Maidan areas shall be closed to vehicular traffic as per the schedule mentioned below on 06.01.2018 and 07.01.2018 :-

(i) From 23.00 hrs on 06.01.2018 to 12.00 hrs or till completion of Marathon on 07.01.2018 -

a) Red Road.

(ii) From 05.00 hrs to 12.00 hrs or till completion of the Marathon on 07.01.2018 –

(i) Mayo Road (west bound) (ii) Casuarina Avenue (iii) Queensway (iv) Khidderpore Road (v) Lovers Lane (vi) Hospital Road (vii) Dufferin Road (viii) Outram Road.

(iii) From 06.00 hrs till completion of Marathon on the following stretch of roads on 07.01.2018 –

(i) Ballygunge Circular Road (ii) AJC Bose Road (Western Flank) between Ballygunge Circular Road and Park Street crossing. (iii) Hazra Road.

(iv) Alipore Road North bound between Judges Court Road and Belvedere Road crossing (v) Standel Road (vi) Belvedere Road west bound from Thackers Island and North bound from Alipore Road crossing upto AJC Bose Road crossing.

3) North bound vehicles of C. R. Avenue shall be diverted along Bentinck Street & Rabindra Sarani.

4) South bound vehicles of C. R. Avenue shall be accommodated all along Western flank of C. R. Avenue from Vivekananda Road crossing to M G Road crossing.

5) Both bound vehicles of C R Avenue shall be restricted from Esplanade crossing to M G Road crossing.

6) Rabindra Sarani shall be one way (only North bound traffic will ply) till completion the Marathon.

7) All north bound busses plying along A.J.C.Bose Road towards Moulali Crossing shall be diverted along A.J.C.Bose Road - Circus Avenue - Suhrawardy Avenue - C.I.T Road towards Moulali Crossing.

8) North bound vehicles of SPM Road and Sadananda Road shall be diverted along Rashbehari Avenue towards east and west as and when considered necessary.

9) South bound vehicles of Old Court House Street to be diverted along Mayo Road, Dufferin Road and Outram Road.

10) East bound Buses/Mini Buses of M G Road may be diverted towards north along Strand Road or towards south along Brabourne Road from Raja Katra crossing as and when necessary.

11) Tram services along the following roads will be suspended from 04.00 hrs to 12.00 hrs on 07.01.2018 or till the Marathon is over according to the direction of traffic police on duty.

Esplanade, B B Ganguly Street, M G Road, AJC Bose Road, APC Road, Syed Amir Ali Avenue, Ashutosh Chowdhury Avenue, Hazra Road, Judges Court Road, Khidderpore Road, Dufferin Road.

12) Vehicular traffic may also be diverted/regulated/restricted on the following roads along the line of route of the Marathon as and when considered necessary by the traffic police on duty.

Casuarina Avenue – Queensway – Lovers Lane - Khidderpore Road – 11, Furlong Gate – R R Avenue – Govt. Place (East) – Esplanade Row (East) – C R Avenue – J L Nehru Road – Cathedral Road Extn. – Vivekananda Road – APC Road – AJC Bose Road – Ballygunge Circular Road – Gurusaday Dutta Road – Ashutosh Chowdhury Avenue – Hazra Road – Judges Court Road – Alipore Road – Strandel Road – Belvedere Road – Hastings crossing.

13) Vehicular traffic may also be diverted from any of the arterial roads and feeder roads by the traffic police on duty as and when considered necessary in the interest of the public on the aforesaid date and time mentioned above.

14) These regulations shall be enforced in addition to the other normal restrictions on the day, which are not repugnant to the above.
