The entire Medical Officers in-Charge. vaccine logistics data in Odisha is now digitised and real-time data is available for informed decision-making. 3 A Vaccine Supply Network The state vaccine store located at Bhubaneswar in district Khurda supplies vaccine stocks in the state, through regional and district vaccine stores. These DVSs supply vaccines to the cold chain points located at sub-district level. The CCPs provide vaccines to the session sites for immunization. Dry Stocks The supply of dry stock such as auto-disabled syringes of 0.1ml, and 0.5ml and disposable reconstitution syringes of 5ml follows the same route as the vaccines. Syringes are bundled along with the vaccine stocks. Cold Chain Points ● Odisha has an average number of 36 CCPs per district. However, there exists some variation in this number, ranging from 10 CCPs in Deogarh and Boudh to maximum 77 CCPs in Ganjam. ● Only 11 per cent of CCPs cater to a population of more than 1 lakh, including 18 CCPs that cater to a population of over 2 lakh. Half of these CCPs are in district Baleswar. About 30 per cent of CCPs cater to a population of less than 25,000. B Vaccine Delivery Mechanism ● The entire vaccine delivery from CCPs to session sites is done by AVD. ● At least one functional vaccine van with a full-time driver is available in 29 districts. The remaining two districts - Rayagada and Malkangiri do not have any vaccine van. ● District Sundargarh has three functional vaccine vans with full-time drivers, six other districts have two functional vaccine vans with full-time drivers. ● Over 70 per cent DVSs follow pull mechanism of vaccine distribution, based on requisition raised by CCPs. The remaining DVSs supply vaccines as per availability. ● Supply of vaccines from DVS to CCP is mostly done on monthly basis, subject to availability of stocks. 4 C Cold Chain Equipment The immunization cold chain network of Odisha runs on 2,643 working cold chain equipment installed across 1,163 vaccine stores and cold chain points. These include 1 walk-in freezer, 8 walk-in coolers, 1,313 Ice- lined refrigerators, 1,310 deep freezers and 11 solar equipment. • Village and Town Directory, Kendujhar, Part-A, Series-19, Orissa
CENSUS OF INDIA, 1991 SERIES -19 ORISSA PART - XII DISTRICT CENSUS HANDBOOK PART A -VILLAGE.. AND TOWN DIRECTORY KENDUJHAR R.N. SENAPATI OFTHE INDIAN ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICE Director of Census Operations, Orissa CENSUS OF INDIA, 1991 DISTRICT CENSUS HANDBOOK PART A - VILLAGE AND TOWN DIRECTORY KENDUJHAR FOREWORD Publication of the District Census Handbocks (DCHs )was initiated after the 1951 Census and is continuing since then with some innovations/modifications after each decennial Census. This is the most valuable district level publication brought out by the Census Organisation on behalf of each State Govt./Union Territory administration. It inter-alia provides data/information on some of the basic demographic and socia-economic characteristics and on the availability of certain important civic amenities/facilities in each village and town of the respective districts. This publication has thus proved to be of immense utility to the planners, administrators, academicians and researchers. The scope of the DCH was initially confined to certain important census tables on population, economic and socia-cultural aspects as also the Primary Census Abstract (PCA) of each village and town (ward-wise) of the district. The DCHs published after the 1961 Census contained a descriptive account of the district administrative statistics, census tables and Village and Town Directories including PCA. After the1971 Census, two parts of the District Census Handbooks (Part-A comprising Village and Town Directories and Part -B comprising Village and Town PCA) were released in all the States and Union Territories. The third Part (Part-C) of the District Census Handbooks comprising administrative statistics and district census tables, which was also to be brought out, could not be published in many States/UTs due to considerable delay in compilation of relevant material.
