Settled at the rear of the field, the three-year-old daughter of Fastnet Rock took advantage of a gap on the inside, powering home to win by a neck from Lubiton (Snitzel), with Faraway Town (Not A Single Doubt) four lengths back in third. Trained by Chris Waller, she has now won three in a row from a total of four runs and yesterday earned her first black-type. Bred by Katom, she was a A$1.3 million Inglis Easter Sale purchase by BBA Ireland for a European partnership that includes members of the Niarchos family and is the first horse to race in Australia for the family. She is a half-sister to the dual Gr.3 winner Osaila and the Gr.3 Dance Design Stakes winner Obama Rule, both by Danehill Dancer, out of the unraced Mennetou A Fountain Of Youth colt, out of winner Ice Mayden (Major (Entrepreneur), a half-sister to the dual Gr.1 winner and sire Cadeaux).
