While unable to make the winner’s circle after recent races, Sound Machine has been competitive against more accomplished fields having finished second to Pacific Gale two starts back in the Grade 3 Hurricane Bertie Stakes at Gulfstream on March 20 going six-and-a-half furlongs and fourth in the Grade 3 Sugar Swirl Stakes won by Florida-bred Lady’s Island on December.
