Dear cannabis entrepreneurs,

he cannabis industry in Germany has experienced a noticeable upswing in recent years. In August 2019, the time was finally ripe for a cannabis trade and visitor fair in North Rhine-Westphalia, Tone of the most populous regions in Europe. The declared aim of Cannafair 2019 was to contribute to the continued growth of the cannabis industry and to offer all cannabis companies the best possible platform to present themselves and their products. At Cannafair 2019, we were able to demonstrate impressively that this had worked smoothly and excellent- ly: from assembly to dismantling, we were able to set up a well organised and, thanks to the numerous advertising measures, very well attended event. We received so much praise from the exhibitors of the year 2019 that we are already very excited about the plans for Cannafair 2020. Cannafair 2020 will again be realised by the same team. At least as important as the trade fair expertise (again on board: Messeprojekt GmbH, one of the leading German companies in this field) is the specific industry knowledge of the Cannafair team. With the successful work on the scene magazine Highway – Das Cannabisma- gazin and the management of the cannabis advertising agency High Five, the Cannafair team is firmly integra- ted into the cannabis industry and has – now also with Cannafair – acquired an excellent reputation as a reliable service provider.

3 _ Locati on Düsseldorf Mitsubishi hy Düsseldorf? Aft er Russia, Germany is the largest country in Europe, and Düssel- dorf is the capital of the largest german federal state in North Rhine-Westpha- Electric Halle Wlia (NRW). Apart from London and Paris, there is no larger catchment area in Europe; more than 30 million üsseldorf is not only the ideal locati on for a cannabis trade fair, but inhabitants live within a radius of 150 kilometers. The the locati on of the venue in the city itself is also perfect: the Mitsub- proximity to the Netherlands, which does not have its ishi Electric Halle (known as Philipshalle unti l its renaming in 2011) own trade fair, is also perfect for a cannabis fair. is located in the middle of the city, just fi ve minutes from the main Drailway stati on – and only 20 minutes from the airport. Located directly next to the Volksgarten/Südpark green area (which we will use again for the exhibitor barbecue), the Mitsubishi Electric Halle off ers enough space and has its own outdoor area. Its own urban and underground railway stati ons ensures opti mal connecti ons for 21 - 23 August 2020 visitors and exhibitors.

s Cannafair 2019 has shown, the date at the end of August is the opti mal date for the organisati on of a new cannabis fair in Europe in general and in Germany in parti cular. In the exhibitor Asurvey we conducted in the run-up to Cannafair 2019, many companies were in favour of a date in the second half of August. And that makes sense: there will be no cannabis fairs scheduled in the immediate vicinity. Nor do any of the huge industrial fairs, which are held in Düsseldorf, take place, so that hotels in perfect locati ons can be boo- ked at normal rates during this period. And, of course, good weather cannot be guaranteed, but is likely – even in Germany at the end of August.

n the left side you can see the exhibition structure of Cannafair 2019 – which of- fered almost 2,000 square STAND PLAN Ometres of pure stand space (not hall 2019 space) for the exhibitors. However, as most exhibitors have already announ- ced that they will be taking part in Cannafair 2020 as well, and since we have already received many other enquiries, we are currently planning a different set-up and are also creating space for a number of outdoor stands so that at least a further 1,000 square metres of pure stand space can be used. Despite this expansion, the perfect location of the Mitsubishi Electric Hall in the centre of Düsseldorf will therefore be maintained in 2020. Since the exhibitors from 2019 will of course be given preferen- tial rights and will return for the most part, some with significantly larger stands, the space is nevertheless limi- ted.
