• Approved Technical Amendment to Territory Plan TA2021-04 – Denman Prospect. CONTINUING • Coombs & Wright Key Land Release Sites. Four mixed-use and community zoned sites in Coombs and Wright are being released. The sites are Block 1 Section 39 Wright (CZ5 mixed use) and Block 10 Section 63 Wright (CF community facilities); Block 1 Section 21 Coombs (CZ5 mixed use) and Block 2 Section 36 Coombs (CZ4 local centre). The SLA is seeking comments from the Molonglo Valley community into how these sites will be released. Engagement closes Friday 26 March 2021. Place Planning. The SLA is developing a place plan for Belconnen Town Centre renewal precincts (Emu Inlet Waterfront; Circus Site and Lathlain Street). • Draft Technical Amendment TA2021-02 – Code Amendments – Single Dwelling Housing Development Code and Whitlam Precinct Map and Code. Technical amendment TA2021-02 proposes amendments to the Territory Plan as follows: Single Dwelling Housing Development Code o Amend Rule R37A to exclude the eaves of a dwelling from an assessment of solar access; o use the defined term ‘habitable room’ for the assessment of this rule, rather than ‘day time living area’ which excludes a bedroom.

Whitlam Precinct Map and Code o Side boundary setback requirements for dwellings and garages are revised; o Amend legend of Figures 1 – 4 which refer to setbacks. • Draft Variation to Territory Plan DV370 – East Yowani Estate. DV370 proposes rezoning part Block 7 Section 67 Lyneham from PRZ2 Restricted Access Recreation zone and TSZ1 Transport Services zone to CZ5 Mixed Use zone; amend the Lyneham Precinct Map and Code to enable redevelopment of the eastern portion of the Yowani Country Club for a mix of commercial and residential uses. • Draft variation to Territory Plan DV375 – Demonstration Housing: Manor House. • Australian Building Codes Board – Integrity of Private Building Surveyors and their role in enforcement. A discussion paper, in response to the Building Confidence Report (recommendations 9 & 11), to mitigate conflicts of interest, increase transparency in engagement and statutory responsibilities, provide enhanced supervisory power and require mandatory reporting is now open for public consultation. • Non-Potable Water Review. The ACT Government is currently undertaking a review into water costs for high intensity club users (defined to be those licensed to take over 3,000 kilolitres per year) of non-potable water. • Draft Regional Fire Management Plan. The draft regional fire management plan helps to protect our land and community from bushfires. The plan balances the need to protect urban areas and ecological values from future bushfires. • Australian Building Codes Board – Building Manuals.
