Inside Meet our 2015-2016 Scholarship Recipients FOUNDATION AWARDS HISTORIC LEVELS OF SUPPORT. THE FEW GRADUATING WITH HONOR, COURAGE, AND COMMITMENT! CADENCE

INCREASED IMPACT, MEETING THE CHALLENGE It’s a special time of year for Marine families coast to coast, some think of summer as “PCS Season” as they move to a new base or station – again. We can also think of summer as the time when children of Marines and Navy Corpsmen hear of their scholarship awards. It’s the time we announce our new class of recipients, and this year’s National Scholarship Announce- ment Ceremony was truly historic. With regional ceremonies hosted in the great Marine communities of Camp Pendleton and Camp Lejeune, it’s been a busy and inspiring awards season.

With an historic announcement of over 2,300 scholarships and nearly $7,000,000 in awards, the 2015-16 class of students is our largest and most impactful year of awards yet.

In this issue of On Point, you’ll read all about our Scholarship Announcement Ceremonies, the inspiring work of these new students and what’s next in our efforts to support their success for years to come.

Thanks to your continued support we’re meeting a greater demand, investing in students raised onHonor , Courage, and Commitment, and delivering more meaningful impact on America’s future than ever before. Here are a few highlights:

★★ Our Scholarship Announcement Ceremonies were packed full of incredible moments, including remarks from several remarkable students, our inspiring Commandant of the Marine Corps, General Joseph F. Dunford, Jr. USMC, and the historic announcement of nearly $7,000,000 in awards. (pg 4)

★★ Before welcoming our newest scholarship recipients, we saluted our graduating seniors highlighting just a few of the many examples of their impact on America’s future.
