CIVIL RIGHTS FOR THE UNBORN The African American Outreach of Priests for Life

CRU Education, Activation, Influence, Transformation Priests for Life CRU Projects & Collaborations CRU CONNECTING THE 20TH AND 21ST CENTURY FOR LIFE Prolife Freedom Rides –In April 2010, Priests for Life launched Prolife Freedom Rides. CRU was the major sponsor and organizer of the tours. The tour covered several southern cities along the route of the 1961 Civil Rights Freedom Rides. The PFL Freedom Rides included national and local Prolife leaders and foot soldiers. Joined by Dr. Alveda -- the niece of the Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr.-- Father Frank Pavone has announced that Priests for Life will be conducting Pro-Life Freedom Rides this summer, evoking the Freedom Rides of 1961 that helped bring about the desegregation of the American South.

“We join our lives and hearts together with those who have gone before us,” said Dr. King. “We take to the bus, to the streets of America, riding for justice and freedom for all, from conception until natural death.” ANNUAL JUNETEENTH FOR THE UNBORN & THE SELMA ANNIVERSARY OBSERVANCE

Juneteenth, also known as Freedom Day or Emancipation Day, is a holiday in the United States honoring African American heritage by commemorating the announcement of the abolition of slavery in the U.S. State of Texas in 1865. (June 19th) Civil Rights begins with Human Rights, from conception until natural death, for all people! Unbelievable! Humans denied human rights in American Courts that ruled that Dred Scott and womb babies are non-human persons. Human Rights Violations resulting from believing that there are separate races: , Wars, Slavery, Genocide, Abortion, Death (A baby is like a slave in the womb of his or her mother- abortion hurts women) Acts 17:26 (One blood, one human race) And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation…”

THE BELOVED COMMUN ITY FOR LIFE

OPEN LETTER: As our nation pauses to recommit itself to fulfilling of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., we invite our fellow citizens to reflect on how that dream touches every human life. Dr. King taught that justice and equality need to be as wide‐reaching as humanity itself. Nobody can be excluded from the Beloved Community. He taught that “injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.” In his 1967 Christmas sermon, he pointed out the foundation of this vision: “The next thing we must be concerned about if we are to have peace on earth and good will toward men is the nonviolent affirmation of the sacredness of all human life. …Man is a child of God, made in His image, and therefore must be respected as such…. And when we truly believe in the sacredness of human personality, we won’t exploit people, we won’t trample over people with the iron feet of oppression, we won’t kill anybody.” Scripture teaches, “Seek first God’s Kingdom and His righteousness and all else shall be yours as well” (Matthew 6:33). Dr. King humbled himself before God and became increasingly dependent on Him. Dr. King’s search for the “Beloved Community” was really part of his search for the Kingdom of God. Because “God is Love” (1 John 4:16), His Kingdom is founded on love (agape). That is why, in his search for the Beloved Community, Dr. King discovered God’s love… …We declare today that these children too are members of the Beloved Community, that our destiny is linked with theirs, and that therefore they deserve justice, equality, and protection… We invite all people of good will to join us in the affirmation that children in the womb have equal rights and human dignity.

ABORTION IS NOT HEALTH CARE

"Abortion is not health care. Abortion causes pain. Abortion is often linked to post abortion health problems and sickness. Abortion kills babies, and sometimes kills t he ir mot hers. Health Care heals. Abortion is Death Care. This is why taxpayer funding of abortion providers is so tragic.” Alveda King, Civil Rights for the Unborn.
