Madrid, 29 May 2019 – At FEINDEF 2019 Leonardo is presenting its technologies and solutions for the Spanish market and boosting its presence in the territory. Established in 2003 as Oto Melara Iberica, Leonardo Hispania has gained a foothold in the Spanish market. Through a highly skilled team and complete industrial capabilities, the Company is able to support the Spanish Armed Forces, partnering with local industry and focusing its activity on quality and reliable customer support.

Leonardo, one of the first companies in the world to invest in SDR technology, offers a complete range of SWave® SDR family products which include handheld, man pack, vehicular, naval and airborne tactical radio systems. The experience gained by the Company in the Italian program for the digitization of the battlefield is central to the offer for the Spanish Army, coming from new technologies for the dismounted soldier as well as vehicular systems.

Leonardo offers Counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) technologies to face the emerging threats in Spain coming from cheaply-available commercial drones. Leonardo’s C-UAS systems are already operational with the Armed Forces of Italy and the UK and are also available to be quickly and easily deployed in a civilian context all over the world.
