SPOTLIGHT ON…Bank of England EGGcellent Easter Adventure – 29th March – 8th April During the Easter break join the Bank of England Museum for an EGGcellent Easter Adventure, the perfect event to entertain the whole family. Somewhere hidden in the museum is a giant golden egg and three little chicks, follow the treasure trail around the museum to see if you can find them. There is a chocolate egg for every child who takes part. Children can then get creative and become their favourite Easter animal by decorating a mask of their choice.

The Museum offers a variety of exhibits and attractions that guarantee a family fun day out. Young visitors can climb aboard the life-sized boat situated at the centre of the Museum Stock Office and enjoy attractions including banknote jigsaws, a roller ball game and the opportunity for some safe cracking!

Visitors can also take the helm of our virtual boat game to learn about inflation and try to keep the economy on a stable course. Other popular displays not to be missed include a one million pound note and a genuine gold bar which can be handled – although weighing an impressive 13kg, it’s certain to take a few people by surprise! Activity sheets are also available for children of all ages, with a small prize for all those who take part. For more information and to download activity sheets visit http://www.bankofengland.co.uk/education/Pages/museum/visiting/default.aspx
