One of the first to come to Pennsylvania. He come on the BRITANNIA ar riving September 21, 1731. Johan married Anna Barbara Schaffer, daughter of Johannes Nicolaus Schäffer and Maria Catharina Kästerlein, in 1739 in Pennsylvania. Anna was born on 13 Feb 1699 in Niederkirchen, Bayern, Deutschland and died on 27 Apr 1776 in Somerset County, Pennsylvania at age 77. Children from this marriage were: 2 F i. Joseph was granted lot 10 but sold his interest to Goodman Foote and returned to North Haven in 1673 after marrying Mary Yale in 1672 to be near her family (Thomas and Mary Yale) who had returned from England in 1660 to settle in North Haven.
