In All Fall Down, main character Allison Weiss seems to have it all—a handsome husband, an adorable little girl, a job she loves, and a big house in the suburbs. But behind the façade is the painful truth that Allison is addicted to prescription pain pills, using them to handle the stresses of her everyday life: her marriage is failing; her daughter is acting out; and her father’s Alzheimer’s disease is getting worse by the day. Allison tells herself that the pills help her make it through her days, but her ever-increasing drug use turns into her biggest problem of all. All Fall Down is the story of a woman’s slide into addiction and her struggle to find her way back up again. Jennifer Weiner’s latest work been called “A searing, no-holds-barred look at an ordinary woman whose life spirals out of control” and “An absolutely heartbreaking read that will leave readers haunted.”
