PITCHERS •Top returning hurlers from 2012 staff. Returning to lead the pitching staff is sophomore right-hander Ben Wright. POSITION PLAYERS •Willis leads returning players. Second team All- GLVC senior outfielderB.J. Willis and senior Colton White lead the returning position players from 2012. Willis batted .324 average and tied for first with 21 stolen bases. White also batted .324 with a team-best 31 RBIs and tied for second with 11 doubles.

•Six Eagles return with starting experience. Six returning position players on the 2013 roster averaged 49 starts and hit a combined .310 last year.

•Rounder final player from 2010. Senior infielder Re- ece Rounder is the final player left on the roster from USI’s 2010 national championship team. Rounder led USI last year with 50 starts at third base and shortstop, while hitting a career-high .312 with 29 RBIs, seven doubles, five triples, and two home runs.

•Wannemuehler swiped 21 bases. Junior outfielder Sophomore Right-hander Ben Wright Brad Wannemuehler tied for the team lead with 21 stolen bases. He also was second in stolen base per- centage, swiping 21 bases of 25 attempts.

Tracy Archuleta has been recognized as the 2010 Division II ABCA National Coach of the Year and the 2011 GLVC Coach of the Year since taking over the program in 2007. He also is fast becoming the winningest coach in the history of the program with 233 victories in six years.

The 2012 season ended with Archuleta leading the Eagles to their sixth straight winning season with a 26-24 mark. Archuleta’s first Eagles team made their first appearance in the final four of the 2007 NCAA Division II Baseball Championship In 2011, Archuleta directed the Screaming Eagles to the program’s and won their first ever NCAA Division II North Central Regional fourth-straight GLVC regular season title. The Eagles also appeared championship.
