Appalachian athletics joins the SoCon in celebrating this monumental event. During his paul final season, the team went 12-7-2 and finished second in the CVAC regular season. Prior to his appointment at Belmont Abbey, Stahlschmidt STAHLSCHMIDT served two years as an assistant at Pfeiffer, where his team won a Head Coach CVAC regular season title in 1997. A native of St. Louis, Stahlschmidt graduated from Appalachian in 1994 after transferring from Southeast Fifth Season Missouri State. A two-sport scholar-athlete at ASU, he was a member Appalachian, ‘94 of the soccer and track and field teams. The first of three brothers to play soccer for the Mountaineers, Stahlschmidt helped initiate the women’s soccer program at Paul Stahlschmidt is in his fifth season at the helm of the Appalachian, serving as the first assistant women’s coach from 1994- Appalachian men’s soccer program.
