Notes:  Corey Tropp continues to lead San Diego in scoring (23). Tropp has two assists (0-2=2) in his last two games and four assists (0-4=4) in his last six games.  Rookie Kevin Roy leads San Diego and ranks tied for fourth among all AHL rookies in goals (10). Roy has two assists in his last two games (0-2=2) and 2-3=5 points in his last six games.  Stefan Noesen has goals in consecutive games (2-0=2) since returning to San Diego, giving him goals in the last three games (3-0=3) that he has played in. Notes:  Troy Terry ranks tied for fourth among U.S. players in scoring (2-3=5) at the 2017 World Juniors. Terry went 3-for-3 and scored the game-winning in the shootout of the semi-final matchup against Russia, advancing the U.S. to the Gold Medal game and ending a seven-game losing streak against Russia in the playoff round of the tournament. He also recorded a pair of assists (0-2=2) in the tournament opener and was named the player of the game for the U.S. against Russia in the preliminary round after scoring the game-winning goal (1-0=1) in a 3-2 win.  Jacob Larsson ranks second among all Sweden players in time on ice per game (19:03) and will face Canada in the semi-finals on Wednesday.  Julius Nattinen earned his first point of the tournament (0-1=1) in Finland’s 4-1 win over Latvia on Tuesday. Nattinen leads all Finland forwards in time on ice per game (17:21) and ranks tied for fourth among all Finland players in shots on goal (15). Finland is facing Latvia in the relegation round.

Notes:  Sam Steel co-leads the WHL in scoring (65) and points per game (2.17), while also co-leading all CHL players in scoring. Steel, who ranks tied for third in goals (25) and first in shorthanded points (9) among all WHL players, is averaging 1.67 primary points per game. He has recorded 10-14=24 points in his last 11 games, including eight multi-point games in his last 10 games. Steel is on pace to record 140 points this season and would be the first player since 1995-96 to surpass the 140- point mark.  Max Jones remains out with injury. He continues to rank fifth among OHL skaters in points per game (1.73; minimum 10 games) and is the only player in the CHL to have recorded a minimum of 25 points with 100% of those points coming as primary points (goals or primary assists).  Julius Nattinen ranks tied for fourth among Windsor skaters in assists (16) and has five assists in his last four games (0- 5=5).  Josh Mahura ranks tied for sixth in goals (9) and tied for seventh in scoring (33) among WHL defensemen.  Deven Sideroff has 12-8=20 points in his last 14 games, leading Kamloops in goals and scoring while ranking tied for 10th among all WHL players in goals. Sideroff has recorded 71.1% of his assists at even strength, ranking ninth among WHL skaters (min. 35 points.).  Jack Kopacka has 9-3=12 points in his last eight games.  Tyler Soy recorded a hat trick (3-0=3) on Dec. 27, in his first game back from injury, and has recorded 4-3=7 points in four games since returning.  Alex Dostie recorded his eight multi-point game of the season (1-2=3) on Dec. 28, his third multi-point game in his last six games. He ranks tied for second among Gatineau skaters in scoring (36) and second in assists (21).
