Razanj municipality has a favorable geographical position. It is located at the crossroads of the Balkan and Carpathian Serbia and the Great and Southern Morava. On the northeast side of Razanj is Mount Bukovik. It is surrounded by the municipalities of Krusevac, Aleksinac, Soko Banja, , Paracin and Cicevac, with three regional routes connecting it. Town of Razanj is located 55 km from Nis, on road to Belgrade, at an altitude of 264 m. On its territory passes the most significant state road, Belgrade - Nis highway. The and Djunis railway stations on the Belgrade - Nis railway line are located west of Razanj, about 10 kilometers away. Airport of Nis is 50 km away. The municipality covers an area of 289 sqm. It belongs administratively to the Nis region, and the municipality itself consists of 23 settlements, where total of 11,500 live. Due to the developed environmental awareness, the municipality decided to put the emphasis on further development on tourism. Razanj, as a tourist pearl, highlights a great rarity in our country - the ninth century monastery (St. Roman). Total of 20 km of the southern Morava bank is also available to tourists, where the municipality has engaged citizens with the available capacities to combine the offer for rural tourism, hunting, fishing... Razanj is the administrative center of Razanj municipality. It is 180 km away from Belgrade and 52 km from Nis. According to the latest 2000 census, Razanj has 557 households with a population of 1,534. Razanj back in 2008 adopted a sustainable development strategy and developed sectoral strategies to attract investors. All important planning documents are provided, such as the spatial plan and the general regulation plan, as well as an industrial zone with secured infrastructure such as sewage and gas. There are 62 companies operating on the territory of Razanj municipality. The most numerous are micro-enterprises employing 1-5 workers, followed by small enterprises of 5-50 workers. There are 140 entrepreneurial shops operating in Razanj municipality. By industry, the most numerous are entrepreneurs in the field of trade (34 entrepreneurs or 24.28 %), manufacture of wooden packaging (10 entrepreneurs or 7.14 %), in the hospitality industry (7 entrepreneurs or 5.00 %) and in hairdressing and other treatments for beautification (7 entrepreneurs or 5.00 %). The facility has a capacity of 54 furnished rooms, which are divided into double and triple rooms. The facility also has an equipped bowling alley, a swimming pool with locker rooms that lack finishing, a restaurant and a large hall. In the outer part, the foundations for a sports hall measuring 105x30 m were made, as well as a swimming pool of 20x25 m (for which all equipment and filters were installed) and a sports field for indoor sports measuring 30x35 m. Between the pool and the grounds there is a 20x30 m space for changing rooms. Above is a grandstand floor. The property has an elevator and a large terrace with beautiful views of Bukovik Mountain.
