He had written over 100 songs, and had traveled to many countries. He suffered from manic-depression and had been experiencing a long term writer's block. Many of his songs had been recorded by artists such as John Denver, Gordon Lightfoot, Ronnie Gilbert, Joan Baez, Judy Collins and . On March 1st we proudly present six great performing artists celebrating the songs of Phil Ochs. Some of his best known songs are: "Changes", "There But For Fortune", "I Ain't Marching Anymore", "Draft Dodger", "Small Circle of Friends", "Crucifixion" and "When I'm Gone". Hosted by Phil’s sister,Sonny Ochs , expect to hear his music and lyrics performed well — with love. ABOUT THE CONCERT AND VENUE: Concert at 7:30 pm, at the Congregational Church of Huntington, 30 Washington Drive, Centerport (just off 25A). An “open mike” segment precedes the main concert.
