Ewing began her coaching career in 2010 as an assistant coach at Butler, where the team garnered the most wins in school history. Under her guidance, the Bulldogs set offensive records in home runs, batting average, RBIs and runs scored.

Ewing played at Oregon State from 2006-09. During the 2006 season, Oregon State advanced to the Women’s College World Series for the first time in program history. During that same year, Ewing earned All-Pacific Region and was named to the All-PAC 10 Freshman Team. Additionally, Ewing was named All-Pac 10 in 2009 and was a three-year captain for the Beavers.

In 2004, Ewing was a member of the Greek National team at 16 years old. She participated in the Olympic Test Event in Athens, Greece, that year where she won a silver medal.

Ewing attended High School Desert Mountain from 2001-05 where she was named Player of the Year twice and All-Arizona three times.

Volunteer Assistant Coach • First Season PAM Pam Stone comes to Las Cruces, N.M., for the 2018 season after spending 15 years coaching at Arizona Western College in Yuma, Arizona. While there, Stone racked up 570 wins and in 2001, her team STONE placed third at the national tournament posting a record of 64-7.

Prior to her time at Arizona Western, Stone began her coaching journey at Southwestern College in Chula Vista, Calif. During her seven years there, she was voted the Pacific Coast Conference Coach of the Year on three occasions. For her outstanding efforts as a coach, she was inducted into the Southwestern College Athletic Hall of Fame in 2016.

Stone played volleyball and softball at Point Loma Nazarene University from 1979-1980. While playing softball at PLNU, she was named to the Association for Intercollegiate Athletics for Women's All-Tournament Team after posting a 0.00 ERA that season. Stone continued her education at the University of Arizona in 1982 where she competed for three years. She ended her career with the Wildcats with 343 strikeouts and a 0.73 ERA.

The San Diego Calif., native received her bachelor's in Exercise and Sports Science from Arizona and also received a master's in Sports Science from United States Sports Academy and a master's in Psychology from the University of Phoenix.

In hist first full year, Moccia led NM State into a multimillion-dollar multimedia rights agreement with Learfield, also the first in the history of the university.

Moccia was named an Under Armour Athletic Director of the Year in 2013 by the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) at SIU, while he directed the program to new heights.

He played an important role in a major fundraising/capital improvement project to build a new football stadium, a new athletic support building and renovate the university’s basketball arena. He also negotiated media rights, footwear and apparel contracts.

Additionally, the Salukis were successful across the board during Moccia’s tenure, winning conference championships in football, men’s and women’s basketball, women’s golf, men’s and women’s cross country, men’s tennis, softball, men’s and women’s track and women’s swimming and diving.

Moccia is active in the intercollegiate athletics community, serving as the President of the Minority Opportunities Athletic Association and a member of its Executive Committee.

He has also served on the NCAA Division I Championships/Sports Management Cabinet, was the FCS representative for the NCAA’s Administration Committee and served as liaison to Men’s Basketball Committee.

Moccia was previously the Associate Athletic Director for External Operations and then Senior Associate Director of Athletics at the University of Missouri from 1998-2006. He also worked as the Associate Athletics Director for External Operations at Texas State University from 1997-1998 and Director of Sales/Lobo Club assistant director at the University of New Mexico from 1993-1997.

A member of the US Bank New Mexico State Hall of Fame inducted in 1998, Moccia was the captain of the Aggie baseball team. He was twice honored as the Aggies MVP and won a team triple crown (leader in batting average, home runs and RBI). He was selected by the Detroit Tigers in the 1989 Major League Baseball draft, and played two seasons in the Tigers minor league system before entering athletic administration.

In addition to his bachelor’s degree in psychology from NM State, Moccia was awarded a master’s degree in sports administration from the University of New Mexico in 1993.

Moccia and his wife, Heidi – a former All-American women’s soccer player at UMass – are the parents of two children, Addie and Gemma.
