NOTICE OF PRIMARY ELECTION FERRY COUNTY, TUESDAY, AUGUST 4, 2020

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a Primary Election will be held in the State of Washington, County of Ferry, on Tuesday, the 4th day of August 2020. That in compliance with the provisions of R.C.W. 29A.08.140, Mail and online registrations must be received no later than 8 days before Election Day. Voters may also register in person at their county elections department no later than 8:00 p.m. on Election Day All elections in Washington State are vote by mail. Please make sure your ballot is postmarked or returned to the Auditors Office no later than 8:00 p.m. on August 4, 2020. Following is a complete list of offices to appear on the official ballots for Ferry County. The entire county will be vote by mail. School District PROPOSITION 1 REPUBLIC SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 309 BONDS TO CONSTRUCT AND RENOVATE SCHOOL FACILITIES

The Board of Directors of Republic School District No. 309 adopted Resolution No. 03-2020-02, concerning a proposition to finance construction and renovation of school facilities. This proposition would authorize the District to: construct a new middle/high school, on or near the existing site, and renovate other District school facilities, all to improve student learning and safety; issue no more than $4,500,000 of general obligation bonds maturing within 20 years; and levy annual excess property taxes to repay the bonds, all as provided in Resolution No. 03-2020-02. VOTING CENTER This is a vote-by-mail Primary Election so there will not be any polling places. Ballots should be mailed in or dropped off at the Ferry County Courthouse (Auditor’s Office) at 350 E Delaware Ave in Republic or at the Republic City Hall (north side of building) at 987 S Clark Ave until 8:00 p.m. August 4, 2020. Drop Box Locations: Danville Drop Box, Danville Outpost, 19097 N HWY 21, Danville WA, Curlew Drop Box, Curlew Fire Station , 30 Customs Rd, Curlew WA, Keller Drop Box, Sanpoil Valley Community Health, 11665 S Hwy 21, Keller WA, Inchelium Drop Box, Lake Roosevelt Community Health Center, 39 Short Cut Rd, Inchelium WA. Accessible voting equipment is located in the Election’s Office. Please call or come by the Auditors Office if you need to get a replacement ballot. CANVASSING Meetings of the Ferry County Canvassing Board are open, public meetings and shall be continued until the activities for which the following meetings are held have been completed: Monday, August 17, 2020 at 1:00 PM to determine the status of any provisional or challenged ballots, Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at 1:00 PM to canvass the votes cast and certify the election. This notice is in accordance with RCW 29A.52.

Logic and Accuracy Test In accordance with WAC 434-335, a Logic and Accuracy test will be conducted on the Ferry County Disabled Access Units and vote counting equipment. The test will be held in the Ferry County Elections Office inside the Courthouse in the basement at 9:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 21, 2020. The programming of the Disabled Access Units will be tested.

At the time a “test deck” of ballots will be run through the vote tabulating equipment. The test is designed to check the ballots tabulating and precinct programming.

The test is open to the public but space is very limited.
