United Kingdom Giving Tuesday takes place on the Tuesday following Black Friday and Cyber Monday and is a day to give back and do something good in the run up to Christmas. This year it falls on 3 December 2019.
Since its launch in the US in 2012, Giving Tuesday has grown to be a truly global phenomenon. There are now official campaigns in over 60 countries worldwide.
There are many ways to get involved – you can donate to charity, volunteer or campaign or share your skills. This year as well as getting inspiration from #GivingTuesday, why not make a commitment with your #GivingTuesdayPledge? Last year 1 in 10 people in the UK did something on the day and #GivingTuesday was the UK’s number one Twitter trend. The campaign holds the world record for the most money raised online for charity in 24 hours, and last year raised $98 million globally via PayPal and more than £7.8 million online in the UK.
