“Poverty Reduction through the Vigorous Implementation of the 10-Point Socioeconomic Agenda”

Objective: To provide the new administration the opportunity to share its strategy in translating the Ten-Point Socioeconomic Agenda into concrete programs, activities, and projects in the Philippine Development Plan (PDP) 2017-2022 that will promote progress equitably shared and reduce poverty incidence rate from the current 26% to 17% by 2022.

9:10 am – 9:20 am Audio-visual Presentation that will present the Filipinos’ aspirations in the medium and long-term and how the current Administration’s agenda on peace and development (Ten-Point Socioeconomic Agenda, National Security Agenda, Summit Dialogues) will help in the realization of such aspirations as embodied in the Philippines Development Plan 2017-2022 and the Ambisyon 2040.

9:20 am - 10:30 am First Panel Discussion The discussion will follow a Townhall Meeting format focused on national priorities as presented in the AVP. The Panel will be led by the PDF Chair and Co-Chair together with: 1. Sec. Ernesto M. Pernia, NEDA; 2. Sec. Arthur P. Tugade, DOTr; 3. Sec. Leonor M. Briones, DepEd; and 4. Presidential Spokesperson Ernesto Abella

This session will allow PDF participants the opportunity to ask questions or seek clarifications on the Government’s programs presented straight from the Cabinet Secretaries present.
