The Preliminary Competition Schedule of the 2nd International Grand Prix of the of Shotgun 2020 in Shotgun Events is attached to this General Information.

The Final Competition Schedule (including Training Schedule) will be distributed after the Final Entry

The latest Schedule updates will be provided at the Technical Meeting.

2. Location & Venue

The competition will take place at the Valencian hunting and shooting society, Partida Loma, S/N, 46380 Cheste – Valencia - Spain.

The shooting range has six combined layouts for Trap and Skeet that are equipped with Matarelli clay target machines and TIRO SPORT acoustic release systems and electronic scoreboards. All six ranges operate with acoustic release system.

The firing direction of the shooting range is NNE.

3. Clay Targets

Corsivia clay targets of orange colour will be used during the competition, and orange flash targets will be used in all Finals.

4. Events, Categories & Classifications

Trap: One Event for all Categories; Men, Men Junior (-21), Women, Women Junior (-21), Veterans (60+), Para Trap

Classification: In order to list participating shooters in their respective classification, the Federations are to submit their Official Classification list with the participants’ entry forms.

Participants who are not Spanish, will be enrolled in the first category regardless of the categories corresponding to their age and sex.

7. Registration & Payment of the Entry Fees

All participants must submit a completed Individual Entry Form forwarded by e-mail not later than 03 February 2020.

The payment of the entry fees will be carried out by transfer to:

All payments have to be made in Euro currency. No credit cards or personal cheques will be accepted. All participating shooters, upon arrival, are advised to report to the Secretariat to ensure that their entry forms have been received by the Organizing Committee and that their names are included in the final list of participants.

Late Entries will be accepted until the deadline (10 days before the Official Arrival Day), and only if the maximum number of participants entries have not been reached.

9. Firearms Permits & Customs Formalities

Police and Customs firearms formalities will take place both upon arrival in Spain and on departure.

All participants are requested to fill in the Firearm and Ammunition Temporary Importation and Declaration Form and e-mail it to the Organizing Committee.

In addition, European Union Nationals holding a ‘European Shotgun Certificate’ are requested to send a scanned copy of their European Firearms Pass and Identification Card or Passport

All other Athletes, NOT holding a ‘European Shotgun Certificate’ are requested to send a scanned copy of their Passport and their Shooting License.

A charge of Euro 40.00 for the Firearms Police license and/or must be paid by each athlete when paying the registration fee. Guard and custody of weapons included.

10. Shotgun Ammunition

The Customs authorities will allow all participating athletes to import with them the necessary cartridges that will be used for the competition. Renowned imported cartridges will be available for sale at the shooting range at around EUR 10.00 per box of 25.

11. Storage of Shotguns

Athletes are prohibited from taking their shotguns to the hotel room.

12. Rules & Regulations

The competition will be conducted according to the ISSF rules and regulations.

13. Competition Related Procedures at the Shooting Range

A Technical Meeting will take place on Wednesday 20 February 2020, at the shooting range. Each Nation is urged to have a representative present to receive updated information regarding the Competition Schedule including training and Finals, draw procedures and other important issues related to the 2nd International Grand Prix of the Valencian Community of Shotgun 2020.

Awards Ceremonies will take place at the shooting range after the last Final.

The Closing Ceremony will take place on Sunday 23rd February 2020, after the last Award Ceremony.

14. Jury & Referees

Qualified Referees holding an official ISSF Shotgun Referee license will officiate at the competition. A Jury will be designated by the RFEDETO to supervise the competition.

Many International airlines such as British Airways, Etihad Airways, Turkish Airlines, Alitalia, Air France, Lufthansa, and low-cost airline have regular flights to and from the Valencia-Manises International Airport.

15. Entry Visas

We strongly advise all participants who are not members of the European Union to check in advance if they need a visa to enter Valencia-Spain. If necessary, the Royal Spanish Olympic Shooting Federation will be prepared to provide all participants with the necessary supporting documentation. February is a dry and sunny month in Valencia. At This time of year, the average temperature in Valencia is 21 ° C. Daily maxims increase from 16 °c to 21 °c as the month develops.
