JOINT FUNDRAISING NOTICE This Joint Fundraising Committee (the “JFC”) is composed of Gary Johnson 2016 (“AUTHORIZED COMMITTEE”) and the following State party committees and political action committees (collectively the “PARTICIPANTS”): Libertarian Party; Libertarian Party of Alabama; Arizona Libertarian Party, Inc.; Libertarian Party of Arkansas; Libertarian Party of Colorado; Libertarian Party of Hawaii; Libertarian Party of Idaho; Libertarian Party of Georgia Inc.; Libertarian Party of Illinois; Libertarian Party of Maine; Libertarian Party of Maryland; Libertarian Party of Michigan Executive Committee, Inc.; Libertarian Party of Mississippi; Montana Libertarian Party; Libertarian Party of Minnesota; Missouri State Libertarian Party; Libertarian Party of New Mexico; Libertarian Party of North Carolina; Libertarian Party of North Dakota; Libertarian Party of South Dakota; Libertarian Party of Tennessee; Libertarian Party of Texas; Libertarian Party of West Virginia; and Wyoming Libertarian Party.

Any contributions to the JFC permissible under the Federal Election Campaign Act, as amended (the “FECA”), 2 U.S.C. §§ 30101 et seq., from contributors who have not exceeded their applicable federal contribution limits shall be allocated among the PARTICIPANTS pursuant to the FECA and the following method: a. AUTHORIZED COMMITTEE shall receive,: i. prior to the Libertarian Party nomination, an amount equal to the first $5,400 ($2,700 designated to the primary election and $2,700 designated to the general election) of each contribution from an or a political committee that is not a multicandidate political committee. In the event that any such allocation of Proceeds would cause a contributor to exceed an applicable contribution limit, such Proceeds shall be distributed in accordance with subpart (b). ii. after the Libertarian Party nomination, $250 to the primary election subject to the extent of net outstanding debt, $2700 to the general election, and $2450 to the primary election, with all primary funds subject to the extent of net outstanding debt. In the event that any such allocation of Proceeds would cause a contributor to exceed an applicable contribution limit, such Proceeds shall be distributed in accordance with subpart (b). b. Each PARTICIPANT other than AUTHORIZED COMMITTEE shall receive a pro rata share of remaining Proceeds to the extent such contribution is permissible under applicable federal contribution limits. Any PARTICIPANT may decline to accept any contribution and such contribution shall be reallocated amongst the all other PARTICIPANTS. c. The allocation formula may change if, and to the extent that, a contribution is received which may exceed the amount a contributor may give to any PARTICIPANT. Any contribution or portion of a contribution to the JFC from any contributor which upon allocation to all PARTICIPANTS shall be determined to exceed the contribution limit of that contributor to any one of the PARTICIPANTS, as proscribed by 52 U.S.C. § 30116, shall be re-allocated pro rata to all other PARTICIPANTS to whom such a contribution would not cause the contributor to exceed an applicable contribution limit or otherwise refunded. Should an amount subject to re-allocation be less than $100, it may in the sole discretion of the Joint Fundraising Representative be reallocated to any one PARTICIPANT. The contributor’s signature on an accompanying contributor form shall serve as written designation of his or her contribution to the particular elections described above. Any contributor may designate his or her contribution to a specific participating PARTICIPANTS, to the extent permissible under the FECA and contributions allocated to the AUTHORIZED COMMITTEE may be designated for a specific election. Any contributor may make his or her contribution directly payable to any of the specific PARTICIPANTS listed in the Preamble to this Notice. Any such designated or directly payable contribution that causes the contributor to exceed the contribution limit to PARTICIPANTS shall not be reallocated by the JFC absent prior written permission of the contributor as required by law.

Contributions to the JFC or any of the participating PARTICIPANTS individually are not deductible as charitable contributions for Federal income tax purposes. All funds received in response to this solicitation are subject to federal contribution limits and prohibitions and will be used in connection with federal elections. Contributions from corporations, labor union, foreign nationals without “green cards” and federal government contractors are prohibited.

The maximum amount an individual or a non-multicandidate federal political committee may contribute to the JFC is equal to $2,700 per election for each participating authorized committee, $10,000 per year for each participating qualified State party committee, and $5,000 per year for each participating non-qualified state party committee or political action committee. The maximum amount a multicandidate political committee may contribute to the JFC in each 2-year election cycle is equal to $5,000 per election for each of the PARTICIPANTS. Federal law requires us to use our best efforts to collect and report the name, mailing address, occupation, and name of the employer of each individual whose aggregate contributions exceed $200 in an election cycle or calendar year, as applicable.
