Come Join Us! The snow postponed our January General Membership Meeting but a week’s delay GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING didn’t dampen the spirits of our attendees or our guest speaker. The meeting was WEDNESDAY, MARCH 14 2018 rescheduled from Wednesday, January 17 5 PM to Wednesday, January 24. Our guest speaker, Dr. David Hildebrand, Director, The PARK AVE LOUNGE Colonial Music Institute and co-author of MEYERHOFF SYMPHONY HALL "Musical Maryland" is a specialist in Early American music who not only speaks but also performs. Dr. Hildebrand delivered a very interesting power point presentation and entertained us with song and a Baroque guitar performance. It was a thoroughly delightful afternoon. Mark your calendars and be sure to come visit "Oakland" this spring! Better yet, come and volunteer at the Show House. This beautiful mansion located on Garrison Forest Rd was built in 1927 and is being renovated by the new owner. The last owner was the great-great-great-grandnephew of Edgar Allen Poe.
