Parents and Players of the HDGBC,

My name is Chris Savage and I am the head girls’ basketball coach at Hilliard Darby High School. This letter is to inform you of our dates and times for travel team tryouts for the Hilliard Darby Girls Basketball Club. We hope to have a tremendous amount of success at the high school level this year and in all years upcoming, but to do this we will require a great deal of hard work by our coaches, players, parents and all support staff to achieve our goals. This is a very exciting time in Darby basketball as we begin an era of excellence and accomplishment. If the young players in our community continue to make advances, as they have in previous seasons, there is no doubt that we will be a power in the Capital Conference, the Central District and the state of Ohio. We ask that you consider being part of our program.

As in previous seasons, we will be forming teams at the 4th, 5th and 6th grade levels. Our club is a select organization and we do hold tryouts in order to select teams. Whether your daughter has played select basketball in the past or not has no bearing on this year’s selection process. All young ladies are encouraged to tryout and the coaching staff will do their very best to place young ladies in a program that will allow them to have a positive and in-depth experience in the game of basketball.

Below you will find a list of important dates and times. Please attend the meeting for your child’s grade level, if you cannot make that meeting feel free to attend another meeting for a different grade.
