Born in Udayapur, Najbul Khan is from a poor, marginalized, Muslim community. Saddened and disheartened by the gender inequality she experienced in her family, she decided to change society where patriarchy is the dominant force. As she grew up, she was affected deeply by systemic discriminatory practices imbedded in her community of child marriages, polygamy, dowry system, “There needs to be equal and divorce in Muslim marriages where participation of women at the women do not have any say. Tewa volunteers are the pillars of fundraising programme. The Tewa Team Retreat organized at the Borderland Resort, Sindhupalchok on April 23-24, 2015 was an ice-breaker and an energizer for the staff, and the Board Members. The Team Building Retreat was successful in achieving motivation and capacity building of all the staff and Board Members. Learning was focused on improved documentation, creating more organizational expertise on philanthropy, and enhance communications, build on streamlining the in-house communication confidence, bond with each other, sharing mechanisms. Furthermore, the retreat of achievements and challenges, as well as enabled participants to develop practical planning and reflections for the upcoming concepts on the application of the new year/s. Besides these, the retreat included Strategic Plan for the 2014-2019. The healing exercises for the mind and body, and main objective of the retreat was to build team building through an energizing white- trust, ensure in-house support mechanisms, water rafting experience.
