Mary Reilly-Magee Founder of Love to Swim School San Antonio, Texas, USA Mary Reilly-Magee is a mom, writer, athlete, entrepreneur and Past-President of the US Swim School Association. She began her career in the learn-to-swim business over 27 years ago. Armed with her passion and experience, she established Love to Swim School in 2001, holding lessons in the pools of fitness clubs, neighborhoods and aquatic centers. Mary continues to pursue her bigger dream of making San Antonio a "no drown town" by teaching her community how to be water wise and risk adverse. Mary is the winner of the prestigious Stevie Award for Best Entrepreneur, Entrepreneurial Spirit Award from the National Association of Women Business Owners. Mary has been published in several publications, including Swimming World Magazine, and is regarded as an expert in her industry. She is a recurring presenter for the American Swimming Coaches Association and the US Swim School Association. 4 Miren Oca Owner-Director of Ocaquatics Swim School, Florida, USA

Miren Oca is the owner and director of Ocaquatics Swim School. She has operated her business since February 1994 in South Florida. Miren owns and operates 2 indoor, year round locations in Miami which employ approximately 75 staff and teach approximately 3100 lessons per week in peak season. A third location is in the planning stage. Miren was the 2009 recipient of the US Swim School Association’s Humanitarian Award.

Miren has been an American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor since 1987. She has been an active member of the United States Swim School Association since 1994 and she is currently serving on the Board of Directors as President. She also served as a member of the board from 2005 to 2008. She has served on the Infant and Toddler Education Committee of the US Swim School Association since 2009.

Preventing childhood drowning has always been a passion of Miren’s. She served on the Safer 3 Water Safety Foundation Board of Directors from 2004 to 2011 and she is currently on the Advisory Board of Directors. She also serves as the co-chairperson of the Miami Dade Drowning Prevention Coalition. She is also a member of the National Drowning Prevention Alliance.

Debbie Sayers Founder-Owner of DolFUN SWIM Academy In 1994, Debbie returned to the water…from her past swim teamPortland, years, to never Oregon, leave it again. USA In 2006, she wrote a book on Aquatic Infant Beginnings: A Guide for Early Aquatic Orientation with a focus on infants 0-6 months. Debbie is a world-renowned leader in Infant Aquatics. She is a member of the US Swim Schools Association (USSSA) and is an elected member whom sits on the USSSA Infant Toddler Committee since 2010. Rod Havriluk President, Swimming Technology Research Dr. Havriluk earned his Ph.D. in human performance from Indiana University in 1987. He specialized in biomechanics under the direction of Dr. John M. Cooper (widely recognized as “the father of modern biomechanics”). While at Indiana, he also studied under the legendary Dr. James “Doc” Counsilman.

Dr. Havriluk is widely published. His articles have appeared in Swimming World; American Swimming Magazine; Swimming in Australia; Journal of Swimming Research; Research Quarterly for Exercise and Sport; Medicine and Science in Sports and Exercise; and Biomechanics and Medicine in Swimming. He has developed instructional materials for swimmers and coaches and is currently collaborating with coach associations to develop a certification program.

Air Commodore Steve Roberton

Air Commodore Steve ‘Zed’ Roberton was born in Allora, Queensland in 1968. He schooled at Bribie Island, De La Salle College Scarborough and Queensland University before joining the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) in April 1989. He completed his pilot’s course and subsequent Hornet fighter conversion in 1993, duxing both courses. He flew a three year fighter tour at Number 3 Squadron RAAF Williamtown near Newcastle up until 1996. He is a graduate of the University of Queensland and University of Canberra with a Bachelor of Science and a Masters of Management - Defence Studies. He was invested as a Member of the Order of Australia in 2012 Australia Day Honours List in recognition of his command tours and leadership introducing the Australian Super Hornet. He currently lives with his wife Libby and three children in Brisbane and spends his leisure time supporting his daughter’s ballet and refereeing and coaching boy’s rugby.

Theodore J. Becker

THEODORE J. BECKER, PhD, RPT, CET, CEAS, CDE, CDA, FACFEI, DABDA is well known in the profession of human performance and testing having been a consultant to and participant in disability evaluations, research, innovation, and sports both for Olympic and Professional athletes. His endeavors include serving as the Head Trainer for the United States Swimming Olympic Team, and being recognized in Sports Illustrated, and other popular magazines and newspapers, patent holder on calibration devices for human performance testing and copyright holder for the biomechanical data base on postures and positions with descriptions.
