9.00 – Excursion to the Kholodny section. The Kholodny section exhibits the (Orenburgian), Kholodnian and the lower part of the Shikhanian. The Gzhelian contains Palaeoaplysina and fusulinid limestones. The base of the Asselian is composed of bioclastic limestones and boundstones with brachiopods, gastropods, bryozoans, rugose corals and microfauna – fusulinids and occasional conodonts. 18th This section is the stratotype of the August Kholodnian substage. 13.30 – lunch in the field.

15.00 – examine Belaya Gora section. Kholodny section The Belaya Gora section shows the upper part of the Asselian (Shikhanian), Sakmarian (Tastubian, Sterlitamakian) and Artinskian. The Early Permian is represented by bioclastic limestones, boundstones with brachiopods, bivalves, gastropods, bryozoans, rugose corals, fusulinids and siliciclastics with ammonoids. Belaya Gora section

19.00 – excursion to the Yadro section. The section represents a deeper water setting of the -Kinel system of deep-water troughs. This type of sediment distribution persisted through the Famennian and Tournaisian. The basinal, “domanik” facies in the axial parts of the troughsis represented by a starved-basin facies (a condensed unit of marl, chert and oil shales). Yadro section

The section is composed of bedded carbonates (shallow-water shelf 19th facies). The Viséan-Serpukhovian boundary August beds contain foraminifers and conodonts. This boundary coincides with a flooding Ladeynyi section event. The base of the Serpukhovian apparently represents a deeper water setting compared to other beds of the Ladeynyi section.
