It was planned to divide the Island into 95 cottage lots and leave a good portion of the island as open park or common land for the cottagers. The current owner of the Island has pledged to donate this histori- cal and ecological island to the Ka- wartha Land Trust. More details are in- cluded in this Gazette. (See “Save Boyd Is- land”)
