Several AB members or sympathizwrs recently have become informants, murder contracts have been ortered for what Source believes are trivial reasons, and the life of members in prigon has become treacherous because of a lack of dependability between members.

Recently, a Los Angeles source has come forth and pro vided information regarding the AB. Source has provided accurate information regarding two murders in the Federal prison system, and has also furnished information regarding 58 individuals suspected to be members or sympathizers of the AB and the EME, both in and out of prison. I
It is a hard fact t most AB will be paroled or discharged at some future date, and in view of members lifelong commitments, it would be naive to think he would not remain in contact with his brothers. The rule of thumb is that once on the streets, one must take care of his brothers that are still inside. The penalty for failure to do so is death upon the members return to the prison system. Due to the severity of Baumgarten s condition, he was immediately transferred to Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg, PA, at approximately 9:55 a.m., and was pronounced dead at approximately 10:00 a.m. ~ The crime scene was immediately secured and Special Agents SAs1 of the Federal Bureau of Investigation FBI! responded to the Institution. Institution authorities initiated a search of the A, B, C and D Blocks of the Institution. In addition a search was conducted of the outside perimeter grounds in an attempt to locate any physical evidence. The above searches failed to produce any weapon s!, articles of clothing or any suspected physical evidence. Inmates located within the living quarters at the time of the incident were secured and ultimately checked for any possible cuts, bruises, blood stains or torn clothing. All of the above met with negative results. During the crime scene search physical evidence blood! was found on the folding gate restraining partition located within the recreation area connecting C-3 and A-3 Blocks. It was discovered that it is possible for an individual to crawl underneath this restraining gate if assisted by a second individual who would hold the gate up from the floor. Further investigation of the area revealed a blood stain on the C-3 recreation area door. This indicates that the escape route taken by the assailants was through the C-3 recreation area door, through the recreation area itself, underneath the partition gate and back into A-3 A Block, third floorl. The purchase of the cocaine was being directed by another inmate within the Institution whose identity was not known to the source. During the period of time that the cocaine was to arrive at the Institution, shakedowus by USP authorities resulted in various inmates getting "busted" for narcotics.
