Michigan State will play three home games and travel to EMU, while IUPUI @ UALR 7-17 26-38 4-12 20-20 is the lone team to not face the Spartans. For IUPUI's part in the event, the Jaguars got the two early @ Milwaukee 15-10 20-34 6-10 24-14 road games and will later host EMU (Nov. 20) and Texas Southern (Nov. 26). E. Senior Alex Young had scored in double-figures 26 straight times until he was held to just five @ G’town points (in 13 minutes) at Milwaukee on Nov. 18. Young was hit with four first half fouls and never got SDSU in a rhythm in the loss. The five points were his fewest since Feb. 21 of his freshman season. Illinois n BENCH PRODUCTION Oakland So far this season, IUPUI has gotten tremendous bench production as evidence by the 28.7 points IPFW per game. Freshman Lyonell Gaines has been the primary force behind that production at 7.0 points @ ORU per game, while both Ian Chiles and Marcellus Barksdale have also played well as reserves. @ S. Utah USD n YOUNG TABBED SUMMIT LEAGUE PRESEASON POTY ESPN BB IUPUI senior swingman Alex Young was voted The Summit League’s Preseason Player of the @ NDSU Year by the league’s coaches, media and sports information personnel. The 6-foot-6 lefty averaged a @ SDSU team-high 19.7 points and 6.4 rebounds per game as a junior, earning his second straight First Team Summit Q’s All-Summit ballot.
