This includes home visits, assistance with utilities, car repairs, furniture needs, rent, homeless assistance, and more. We 14 Chicken Dinner 4-7 PM Sponsored by Knights have members who have stepped up to take on Home Visit Coordinator, Homeless Coordinator, and Hot Line (telephone) duty, and are thankful to all those who volunteer their time working at the pantry. We are now in need of someone to take on the role of Pantry Manager. The food pantry is a special work of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. AUGUST 9, 2020 19TH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME 7 Welcome Fr. George Please welcome Fr. George Fitzsimmons as a new Associate Pastor here at St. Patrick Parish. Fr. George grew up in Richmond Heights where he and his family were parishioners at Immacolata. He attended SLUH where he played football, basketball and swimming while also being involved with theatre. He then went on to SLU where he majored in The- ology, and Mizzou Law School. Aer graduation, he practiced law at the St. Louis City Circuit Attorney’s Office, the Missouri Attorney General’s Office, and a private law firm that represented injured railroad workers. During his time as an attorney he began to sense that God might be calling him to the priesthood. His mother’s cousin, Bishop Arthur Kennedy, (who is an auxiliary Bishop in Boston) was instrumental in helping him both to discern his vocation and in taking action to pursue it. At that time, Bishop Kennedy was the rector of St. John’s Seminary in a priest in the Archdiocese of Boston. for the week Thereaer he began his priestly ministry at St. Patrick’s Parish in Watertown and then moved on to St. Joseph’s Parish in Medway, Massachusetts.
