This includes home visits, assistance with utilities, car repairs, furniture needs, rent, homeless assistance, and more. AUGUST 9, 2020 19TH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME 7 Welcome Fr. George Please welcome Fr. George Fitzsimmons as a new Associate Pastor here at St. Patrick Parish. Fr. George grew up in Richmond Heights where he and his family were parishioners at Immacolata. He attended SLUH where he played football, basketball and swimming while also being involved with theatre. He then went on to SLU where he majored in The- ology, and Mizzou Law School. Aer graduation, he practiced law at the St. Louis City Circuit Attorney’s Office, the Missouri Attorney General’s Office, and a private law firm that represented injured railroad workers. During his time as an attorney he began to sense that God might be calling him to the priesthood. His mother’s cousin, Arthur Kennedy, (who is an auxiliary Bishop in ) was instrumental in helping him both to discern his vocation and in taking action to pursue it.
