One week after a new chief was announced, the Bowling Green Police Department faced another change - Lt. Thomas Brokamp retired from the force. Brokamp said he was eligible for retirement and felt that it was time. He said it was time to move on and look for other "compara- ble job opportunities" within the area of law enforcement. "I dont know what I will be do- ing right now but I hope to con- tinue working in law enforce- ment," Brokamp said. Brokamp cited lack of ad- vancement possibilities as one reason for his decision to retire. • See BROKAMP, page three.
