SPEAKERS (Raleigh, North Carolina – Monday, January 24, 2011) Hockey Ministries In- ternational will stage its’ 2011 annual All-Star Breakfast, in conjunction with the National Hockey League All-Star Game, this Saturday, January 29 from 7:15 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Cary, North Caro- lina. The breakfast will feature in attendance a host of current and former NHL ERIC STAAL players and coaches, as well as select 2011 NHL All-Star players. The event
is now just five days away.
Hockey Ministries International is a Christian ministry that serves the spiritual needs at all levels of hockey by annually coordinating team chapels, staging youth camps, and holding numerous special events. HMI is a federally regis-

Leading this year’s attendees will be 2011 Eastern Conference All-Star and for- mer Stanley Cup winner with the Carolina Hurricanes, Eric Staal. The four- time NHL All-Star will be interviewed at the event from the dais. Staal helped the Carolina Hurricanes win their first-ever Stanley Cup in 2006 with a 100 point campaign in 2005-06. Staal was the Hurricanes’ first round pick and the MIKE GARTNER second pick overall in the NHL’s 2003 entry draft.
The featured speaker for the All-Star breakfast will be former NHL All-Star and Hockey Hall Of Famer, Mike Gartner. The former Washington Capitals’ for- ward also played for four other NHL teams spanning 19 seasons, and played in seven NHL All-Star games. Gartner was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame

We have a very distinguished group of speakers and guests this year, and those that attend will be in for a challenging and uplifting morning at the breakfast.”
Two former NHL players who will also attend the breakfast and speak including former 20- season National Hockey League veteran goaltender, John Vanbiesbrouck, and former
Stanley Cup winning defenseman and 20-year NHL veteran, Glen Wesley.
Additional current NHL stars that will be present at the breakfast include Carolina Hurricanes’ goaltender, Cam Ward, Pittsburgh Penguins’ forward, Jordan Staal, and New York Rangers’ defenseman and 2011 All-Star, Marc Staal.
Former NHL players who will attend the event include former Detroit Red Wings’, Toronto Ma- ple Leafs’ and New York Rangers’ forward, Mark Osborne, and former Toronto Maple Leafs’,
Winnipeg Jets’ and Ottawa Senators’ forward, Laurie Boschman.
Legendary National Hockey League Television Play-By-Play Announcer for NBC and Madison Square Garden, Mike Emrick, will also be speaking. Former Major League Baseball pitcher with the New York Mets, Montreal Expos and New York Yankees, Tim Burke, will also be pre- sent.
