Essex & Herts Air Ambulance Your local is a charity that brings the life-saving hospital to the patient. Charity. Our aim is to save lives, reduce or prevent disability, or suffering from critical illness and injury, by delivering a life-saving pre-hospital emergency medical service to the people of Essex, Hertfordshire and surrounding areas.

Unlike NHS emergency services, Essex & Herts Air Ambulance is a charity. It costs £9 million every year to cover all charitable costs and aircraft operations. Without access to National Lottery funding and with only limited support from Government, we rely on the generosity of our supporters to remain operational and saving lives.
