Ultimo april 2018 var landsholdet i Malaysia til World Cricket League Division 4 (WCL Div 4), hvor vi sammen med Uganda kvalificerede os til World Cricket League Di- vision 3 (WCL Div 3). I august 2018 tog holdet så til Deven- ter i Holland for at deltage i den store europæiske T20 kvalifikationsturnering med deltagelse af 18 hold, hvor Danmark vandt sin gruppe suverænt. Dermed kvalifice- rede vi os til den europæiske T20 finaleturnering, som skal afholdes i juni 2019 i Guernsey, hvor vinderen får adgang Umair Butt til deltagelse i ICC 2020 Men’s World T20 Global Qualifier. I november 2018 fulgte vi igen landsholdet, da Danmark PR-mæssigt har DCF’s administration haft fuld fokus på at deltog i den sidste WCL Div 3 turnering i Oman. Det var være mere aktive på de sociale medier. Der har i årets løb en turnering med stærke hold. Hamid Shah var Svanholms dominerende gærdespiller. Han viste året igennem stabilitet og høj teknisk klasse. Ligeledes viste Zameer Khan og Zishan Shah glimtvis KB – vinder af Elitedivisionen og Danmarksmesterskabet gærdespil i landsholdsklasse – blandt andet i den fremra- gende kamp mod KB på Svanholm Park i juni, hvor Svan- 1. Division holm fik en kneben sejr. Mads Henriksen og Saad Ahmed viste bestemt også lovende takter i sæsonen 2018. Så lykkedes det endelig for Albertslund at rykke op i den bedste række for første gang i klubbens historie.
