Settlement Point Ferry operates from Settlement Point Road to North Shore Drive. PARKING We regulate parking throughout the CBD areas of Port Macquarie, Wauchope, Laurieton and North Haven. Parking time limits have been set to balance the competing needs for both short and long term parking in these areas. PATROLLED BEACHES We contract community protection of our beaches to the Australian Lifeguard Service. Lifeguards and Surf Life Savers are only on duty when the red and yellow flags are in place. Always swim between the red and yellow flags as this indicates the supervised swimming area. You can purchase a beach driving permit which includes Port Macquarie-Hastings, Kempsey and Nambucca Shire Council local government areas. Permits are valid for the financial year and can be purchased at any Council office in Port Macquarie, Wauchope, Laurieton, Kempsey or Nambucca. Thirty day permits for visitors or short term users can also be purchased at Port Macquarie, Wauchope or Laurieton Council offices. COMMUNITY & CARE HERITAGE The Birpai people are the traditional custodians of the lands within the Port Macquarie-Hastings Council area. MOBILITY BEACH ACCESS The Sandcruiser Beach Wheelchair is available for use by seniors and

COMMUNITY & CARE people with a disability. It has large tyres that make it easy to get across the sand and to the water’s edge. Use of the Sandcruiser is free and available at Town Beach when the lifeguards are on duty. Bookings can be made by calling 0422 312 940 during office hours.

Our commitment to our young community has never been more focused. CHOOSE TAP Choose Tap is a community-based initiative promoting tap water as the best hydration choice for the environment, people’s health and their hip pocket. Water refill stations provide access to free drinking water in public spaces. TO FLUSH OR NOT TO FLUSH Everything that goes down the drain in your kitchen, bathroom or laundry is wastewater or sewage. The only things you should flush down the toilet are Poo, Pee and Paper. Wet wipes are not biodegradable - there is no such thing as a flushable wipe. TIP TICKETS Every domestic rate payer who pays for a full bin service receives two free tip tickets along with their annual financial year rates. These can be used to drop off items to Council's waste facilities at no charge. More information is available at at pmhc.nsw.gov.au/community-recycling

KERBSIDE COLLECTION An unlimited pay as you go service is available for kerbside collection of bulky waste (2 cubic metres), equivalent to the size of a small trailer. Call into a Council office or call6581 8111 to book and pay for this service. The fee must be paid the week before collection. Note: Mattresses, full sized fridges, builders waste, motor vehicle parts, green waste, household garbage, tyres, industrial waste and hazardous materials are not accepted

Registration is required at or before six months of age. Online access is available at the NSW Pet Registry website:

It is located in John Fraser Place, Port Macquarie (off Lake Road). Pets that are captured by Council rangers are taken to this facility.
