In collaboration with the British Centre BRITISH CENTRE for Literary Translation, the boot camp will bring together writers, FOR LITERARY translators and editors for an intensive week of workshops and TRANSLATION discussions focusing on best practices in literary translation, creative supported by writing and editing. This session is moderated by Tan Yen Peng, a lecturer in the Department About Eileen Chong of Fine Art at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts Eileen Chong is a Singapore-born, Sydney-based poet. She won the Poets Union Youth Fellowship in 2010 and was the Australian About Rosihan Dahim Poetry Fellow for 2011-2012. Her first book of poems, Burning Rice, Hailed as one of Singapore’s only surrealist painters, Rosihan Dahim was highly commended in the Anne Elder Award 2012 and was first learnt about Dadaism and the Surrealist art movement in early shortlisted for the Australian Prime Minister's Literary Awards in 1970's. In 1977 through 1978 he explored in physchoanalysis and poetry in 2013. . metaphysical paintings while attending the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts. After leaving the Academy in 1979, he introduced his first Matchstick painting series in his first solo show at the National Museum Art Gallery in 1980, a motif which he continues to be most known for till today. He has been compared by his peers with the likes of Spanish surreal painter Salvador Dali and the Belgian artist René Magritte. His work has since and continues to be exhibited in Singapore and around the world. His writings on design, architecture and the arts have been published in various magazines and books. One Mind One Theory is his first book.

Chang Un was employed as a Scriptwriter at MediaCorp Singapore for eleven years from 1989 to 2000. He was one of the chief creative forces behind the successful sitcom, Under One Roof and was involved in the development of the show’s concept, stories and characters. A graduate of Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), majoring in flute under the Diploma in Music Performing programme, Clement started playing the flute at the age of 13, and has been active in the local music scene since then. Currently under the tutelage of Roberto Alvarez (Singapore Symphony Orchestra Assistant Principal Piccolo), Clement performs regularly in the Singapore National Youth Orchestra (SNYO), The Philharmonic Orchestra (TPO), and the Windstars Ensemble.

About Samuel King Samuel King graduated with Bachelor of Music (Honours) in piano performance at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) in conjunction with the Royal College of Music (London) in 2013. As a collaborative pianist, he has worked with strings and woodwinds, and has been invited many times locally and regionally for performances and projects with vocalists, choirs, and instrumentalists.
