Most of our leaders have some form of personal connection to the areas in which they guide. In Kim’s case, his years of patrolling the exteriors of northern Greenland with the Danish Navy’s elite sled dog unit and time spent as a policeman in Kangerlussuaq have provided a solid and personal understanding of Greenlandic culture, its people, and a deep respect for the unpredictable arctic wilderness that is Greenland. His expertise also extends to Svalbard in where he leads several expeditions annually. Leading in Svalbard requires the ability to handle a firearm and extensive knowledge of polar bears which Kim has acquired over many years.
