Chief Warrant Four (CW4) Scott Broten is the Signal Regiment Career Program Manager, Office Chief of Signal, Fort Gordon, Georgia.

He enlisted in the Army in 1992 and attended the Tactical Automated Circuit Switch Operator-Maintainer (MOS 36L) Advanced Individual Training (AIT) at Fort Gordon, GA. Before his appointment as a warrant officer, he completed the Primary Leadership Development Course, Noncommissioned Officer Academy, Grafenwohr, Germany, and the MOS 31F Basic Noncommissioned Officer Course, Noncommissioned Officer Academy, Fort Gordon, GA. His enlisted assignments include the 44th Signal , 7th Signal Brigade, in Karlsruhe and Mannheim, Germany and the 40th Signal Battalion, 11th Signal Brigade, Fort Huachuca, Arizona. He received his warrant officer appointment in 1998. His past warrant officer assignments include Information Systems Security Officer and COMSEC Officer for the Southern European Task Force (Airborne), Vicenza, Italy; Battalion Network Management Technician, 327th Signal Battalion (Airborne), Fort Bragg, North Carolina including a combat tour in support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM; Brigade COMSEC Manager, 35th Signal Brigade (Airborne), Fort Bragg, North Carolina; COMSEC Material Direct Support Activity OIC, 587th Signal Company, Stuttgart, Germany; Signal Systems Support Technician, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas including two combat tours in support of Operation IRAQI FREEDOM; Chief, Signal Plans Branch, I Corps, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington; and most recently Signal Planner and Chief, ISAF Theater Frequency Management Cell, ISAF Joint Command in Kabul, Afghanistan.

He has completed the 250N Network Management Technician Warrant Officer Basic Course (WOBC), the 251A Information Systems Technician Warrant Officer Advanced Course (WOAC), the Warrant Officer Staff Course (WOSC), and the Warrant Officer Senior Staff Course (WOSSC). He also holds a Bachelors Degree in Information Technology.

CW4 Broten is a recipient of two Bronze Star Medals, the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, three Army Meritorious Service Medals, four Army Commendation Medals, eight Army Achievement Medals, the Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal with Bronze Star, Global War on Terrorism Service and Expeditionary Medals, Kosovo Campaign Medal, Iraqi Campaign Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Joint Meritorious Unit Award, Meritorious Unit Citation, and the Drivers/Mechanics Badge.

CW4 Broten is married and has two children. His wife, Pamela and sons, Eric and Jeffrey, reside in Georgia.
