All of our front office team, including the concierge, are locals. When speaking with out team, guests will receive the verified knowledge of the resort and island, especially those activities that are local favourites. We want our guests to have an authentic experience and our team can assist in making that happen. & What do you enjoy most about being a concierge? Q AWith the Because we love our island home, we have an uncanny Concierge Team way of knowing what each of our guests needs. From something as simple as finding that perfect welcome room gift to organizing a private candle light beach dinner for two; anything we can do to make our guests holiday memorable is what we are known for. How would you spend your ideal day off? It depends on how active one wants to be? Being Bermudian, we play it by ear and it always depends on the weather. During the spring and summer months, you will always find us on the water. Exploring the beaches, renting a motor boat, snorkelling or renting a jet ski. Finishing off with a long lunch or dinner at one of our favorite restaurants. During the fall and winter months it’s a time for exploring and trying out new things. All the rage right now are the electric vehicles. Rent one for the day and choose to explore the full expanse of the island. Stop off at a pub and get to know the locals. If you are looking for an active pursuit, try a game of golf, or diving (the best visibility is during our winters), or our personal favourite - a spa day. If a guest is only in town for 48 hours, what would you recommend for the perfect itinerary? Definitely rent a moped or electric vehicle, as it will give you the independence to travel and get the most out of your 48 hours. Try an island drive from Dockyard in the West to St. George’s in the East. For dinner, definitely try out the award-winning Breezes Restaurant located at Cambridge Beaches - also a great place to catch the sunset. For the BEST fish sandwich, you must try award winning Art Mel’s. 16 THE CONCIERGE AZURA BERMUDA 17 What would you say is indigenous to your How can a guest best use the concierge hotel’s city? services to their full potential?
