These were still engaging his attention at the time of his death in 1974. His residential work is widely scattered but found most abundantly in Fox Chapel and Oakmont; he often worked with Brandon Smith, the archi- tect, and between them they created a series of properties in the late 1920s and, when possible, in the following decade, that âre textbook examples of the best domestic design of that now- remote era.
